                               RESOLUTION NO. 18905
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR
                   OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION TO
                   FILE AN APPLICATION WITH THE URBAN PARKS AND
                   RECREATION RECOVERY PROGRAM, THROUGH THE
                   U.S. DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR, NATIONAL PARK
                   SERVICE, FOR A TWO HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND
                   AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($250,000.00) GRANT,
                   SUBJECT TO BEING MATCHED BY THE CITY WITH A
                   SUM NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTY FIVE THOUSAND AND
                   NO/100 DOLLARS ($75,000.00) FOR A TOTAL
                   PROJECT COST OF THREE HUNDRED TWENTY FIVE
                   THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($325,000.00).
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Administrator of the Department
       of Parks and Recreation be and is hereby authorized to file an
       application with the Urban Parks and Recreation Recovery Program, 

       through the U. S. Department of Interior, National Park Service,
       for a $250,000.00 grant, subject to being matched by the City 
with
       a sum not to exceed $75,000.00 for a total project cost of
       $325,000.00.
